Notice to New York Policyholders

REGULATORY NOTICE: In response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the New York State Department of Financial Services has issued orders or emergency regulations that require insurers to provide temporary premium payment relief for policyholders experiencing financial hardships as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

NY DFS NOTICE

We will be suspending cancellations for non-payment until June 1, 2020, and we will not be assessing late fees for premiums due on or before June 1, 2020. As circumstances develop over the next few weeks, we will revisit and adjust this timing as needed. We will also continue to comply with any directives issued by state departments of insurance on billing issues. If you are experiencing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, please call us at 1-888-305-6799 to discuss billing and make alternative payment arrangements.

Payment Flexibility for Missed Payments
In addition to the payment information previously noted, policyholders who did not make a timely payment due to financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and who can demonstrate such financial hardship, may call us at 1-888-305-6799 or e-mail to billing@kbicus.com to arrange to make their missed payments over a 12-month period.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 202-38, the COVID-19
cancellation/nonrenewal/conditional renewal moratorium, premium payment grace period and notice requirements contained in Executive Order No. 202.13, and the Department of Financial Services’ (“DFS”) related Emergency Regulation, have been extended and will now remain in effect through July 6, 2020 unless further extended.
